The Influence of Bilingual Teacher’s Talk on Speaking Skill of Seventh Graders at MTS Ainul Falah Guluk- Guluk Sumenep

Abstract


Speaking is reached by mastering vocabularies, word, sentences. This is the reason of bilingual teacher talk make the students improve in their speaking and also make class effectively. This study's main purpose is to reveal whether there is a significant influence of bilingual teacher's talk on students speaking skill. This is a quantitative correlational study, the population consists of two classes with 23 students in each class. Based on the analysis of the statistical data, it revealed that there is an influence of bilingual teacher's talk on students speaking skill at the seventh grade of MTs Ainul Falah Guluk- Guluk Sumenep and the effect is low significance. It is proven after knowing the result of statistical analysis that shows that “r” value is 0,36. It is more than r-table in significance level 5% and 1% with N 46. The values are 0,291 and 0,376. Then compared to the table of interpretation “r” product moment. It is between interval 0,20-0,40 with low interpretation.
